A Message from the President



My name is Kristin Patterson and I am the Pond Road Middle School PTA President. We as a PTA are excited to see the kids return and look forward to another wonderful school year filled with activities and events that your children love. 

As you may have already seen, there are some exciting changes coming to the PTA. We have updated the MemberHub login and we need your information. Please visit https://prms.memberhub.com/join/5u08rb to enter your family information (Parent(s), Guardians AND Students). When adding your student(s), please include: Name, Role [student] & Classroom [PRMS Grade Team]. Then be sure to visit the ‘SHOP’ to officially become a Knight (member). Membership benefits will start with our first event, Trunk or Treat, our Fall Spiritwear Drive and every member this year will receive a FREE PRMS Knight magnet! Don’t miss out, become a Knight today! See the attached Membership form. 

Our PTA relies on its members in multiple ways. We need volunteers and funds to run our activities. We have many positions open for parents to get involved. Please reach out to pondpta@gmail.com or kpatterson01@optonline.net if you are interested in any of the below programs.

 Pi Day 

 Administration Fun-raisers 


And, funds… We will be doing several fundraisers throughout the year, however, our largest and easiest fundraiser is our Write A Check Campaign. You can donate to the Write A Check campaign in the ‘SHOP’ within MemberHub. There are pre-defined donation options or you can send the attached Write A Check flyer to school with your student. Our goal this year for Write A Check is $10,000. Please consider donating an amount that works for your family, but consider, if every family gave just $25, we would surpass our goal. All donations are tax deductible and you will be provided with a receipt from MemberHub for tax purposes. 

Some of the events that your funds help support are: 

 Assemblies 

 Class Trips 

 Scholastic credit for every academic teacher 

 Student of the Month breakfasts 

 Socials for each grade level (fun day/barbeque for 8th graders) 

 Awards for Reflections entrants 

 Donations to Homefront 

 Winter Fun Day and Field Day 

 And we hope to be able to add additional events if we exceed our goal 


Our first meeting of the school year will be in conjunction with the 5th & 6th Grade Back to School Night on Monday, September 17th. Please join us at 5:30 for an overview of our PTA, our budget, to meet the Executive Committee and to ask any PTA related questions you may have. We will have committee signups and spiritwear samples in the entry way that evening, so please stop by! And, don’t forget those BoxTops. We will have a collection bin at our table.
